Styled after beds used in Mongolia from at least the 19th century. My version is used for camping so is made to fold for easier packing. The angled ends can be set flat for sleeping. The interior space is used for storing bedding.
This was my effort to design and build a cart that looked reasonably historically accurate, while using relatively simple materials and techniques. Parts are all store-bought. Turning of front axle needs more thought, but otherwise this has proven to be a sturdy and easy to transport cart.
